The Name

Moments
During this senior year of spending time with friends, making decisions for the future and making lasting memories, it has been pressed upon my heart to live in the present moment. I don’t want to rush away sweet times because I am too busy thinking about what is to come. I am learning to live and be thankful for each present moment.
Raindrops
Rain is often associated in my mind as dreariness and sadness. Often the rain might keep me from being outdoors but how peaceful and relaxing it is to read a book as the rain hits the window pane. Times caught in the rain have easily been turned into laughter and joy. Insignificant times have turned into memorable occasions when caught in the rain for a run, a stop at Walmart or a simple step outside.
Sunflowers
Sunflowers always remind me of my sweet Grandma. On her birthday many years back we went to a sunflower festival and drove through miles and miles of sunflowers. She passed away my senior year in high school and during times of banquets, dinners and celebrations I wanted her to be there. In a way she always was because in the most unexpected ways, a sunflower would be a centerpiece at the table or as I was driving, I would see a small patch of the beautiful flower. Sunflowers remind me of joy, happiness and how the Lord provides.
My desire for this blog is share moments of my journey through this step of faith living in the present moment of raindrops and sunflowers.
