This Fall, I will be teaching Kindergarten in Budapest, Hungary at Rainbow Hills Kindergarten and Daycare Center which is a Christian English school. To check out the school: Click Here. Through connections at Ouachita and a wonderful friend, Jenelle forwarding me the email about the job opportunity, I decided to check it out. Through interviews on Skype, seeking advice, wisdom and a lot of prayer I decided to accept the job. Everyone starts on a 3-month trial basis so I will work September through December as my initial no-strings-attached time period. As far as expenses go room and half of my board is covered. Transportation, food for dinner and weekends and phone costs will come out of my paycheck.
In 2006, I went on a choir mission trip to Budapest, Vienna, and Prague with the high school choir mission trip for ten days. It will be exciting to go back and visit the places I once was six years ago.
In preparation for Hungary, I am researching more about the country and try to make connections with missionaries who are serving there. This summer, I will enjoy spending time with family and preparing my heart and mind to adapt to a new culture and serve in a new city.
Love is meeting needs. No matter where I am or who I am with, I am called to love. Perfect love casts out fear. Christ has lavished love on me and I am chosen to share it with others. I am on the brink of the real world before me. I am trying to completely trust in Him to guide me. He gives us our daily bread. I am trying to rest in the fact that He has me perfectly in the palm of His hand. When I start to fast forward and think about the far fetched future, He is more concerned with my present moment right here and right now. I am very excited about what is to come but I never want to rush these present moments away.
Here are a few pictures from National Geographic of Budapest:
